Whole plant: Infusion of bark, fruit-sap and coconut oil used for ringworm and eczema.

Stem: Bark decoction for ulcers. Bark used for scabies in NW Guyana.

Leaf and Seed: To make a pomade remedy for skin disease.

Seed: In a plaster to treat itches and skin disease such as dartre; a less effective plaster for these ailments is sometimes made with grated bark of the tree. Used for eczema, scabies and sores in NW Guyana.
